This incident disturbed Sakthan Thampuran and he declared that within one month, in the next Pooram day he will conduct a fabulous festival infront of Thrissur’s Vadakkumnathan Temple. Later, with it’s eye captivating events, and people’s participation, Pooram received worldwide acceptance. Every year lakhs of people from the nook and corner of the world gather in Thrissur to witness the mind blowing rituals and events of pooram. It’s display of fireworks, “Kudamattam” and caparisons are always an eye feast for the Pooram lovers.
