The Char Dham yatra is an important Hindu pilgrimage circuit in the Indian Himalayas. Located in the Garhwal region of the state of Uttarakhand the circuit consists of four sites—Yamunotri , Gangotri, Kedarnath , and Badrinath. Badrinath is also one of the four destinations of the longer Char Dham from which the Chota Char Dham likely draws its name.

The Moatsü Mong festival is celebrated by the Ao people of Nagaland, India.The festival provides them a period of recreation and entertainment after the stressful work of clearing fields, burning jungles, sowing seeds, cleaning up the Tsubu and repairs & construction of houses by elders of the Putu Menden, stretching over a week. The Moatsü festival is marked by peppy songs and dances.
